Methodology & data

Every strike, OI and LTP shown is exactly as captured at that moment — this is a scrub-through of stored snapshots, not a live view or reconstruction. History depth varies by index: NIFTY and SENSEX are weekly expiry and carry the deepest archive; the monthly-only indices (BANKNIFTY, FINNIFTY, MIDCPNIFTY, BANKEX) have fewer snapshots between expiries. Free, no paywall.

How far back does this history go?

Coverage varies by index — NIFTY and SENSEX, being weekly expiry, have the deepest history since capture began. The exact range is shown in the date picker for each index.

Is this a live feed or historical data?

Historical — every snapshot shown is exactly as it was captured at that timestamp. For live data, see the Indian Indices hub.

Why do monthly-only indices have less replay history between dates?

BANKNIFTY, FINNIFTY, MIDCPNIFTY and BANKEX only expire monthly, so there are naturally fewer distinct expiry cycles captured over the same calendar period compared to NIFTY and SENSEX's weekly cycle.

Can I compare different indices at the same point in time?

Yes — use the index selector to switch between NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, SENSEX, FINNIFTY, MIDCPNIFTY and BANKEX; the date/time picker retains your selected moment where data is available for that index.
