What this shows
Every strike-level number here is read directly off the live captured chain — the ATM strike, its call and put LTP, and implied volatility back-solved from that LTP the same way the gamma page does it. Open interest is summed across the whole chain for each index, not just the ATM strike.
Why compare this way instead of by lot size alone
- ATM premium tells you the actual capital required per lot right now, not a historical average.
- ATM IV tells you how much uncertainty the market is currently pricing into each index — this is what actually drives Bank Nifty's reputation for moving more than Nifty, visible directly rather than asserted.
- Total OI is a rough proxy for how much capital and attention each index currently has parked in it.
Static comparison articles quote these figures once and let them age. This page doesn't.
